Specialisation/Style: Hand drawn, traditional animation.
Favorite Artists: Early on, I studied all the Disney masters, then I got into Dutch animators like Borge Ring, This led me to other animators like Ralph Bakshi and Bill Plympton. Currently, my biggest influences are Bakshi, Jamie Hewlett (tankgirl, gorillaz), Hisko Hulsing (another dutch animator). I still hold Disney guys above everyone else, Milt Kahl, Ollie Johnston, Frank Thomas, as well as contemporary Disney guys like Glenn Keane, and Sergio Pablos.
About me: I have written, produced, animated, and directed five award winning films from 2000-2006. I made my directorial debut for the Emmy nominated MTV series "Down-Town", continuing on to direct the popular animated series "Daria." My bizarre, morphing style tells symbolic stories of identity and emotion, and has extended beyond film. My Public Art Installations have earned me a multitude of accolades outside the world of animation, my fine art is currently represented internationally by CVZ Contemporary Gallery in New York. I am a Senior Thesis advisor at the Pratt Institute in New York, a fellow with the New York Foundation of the Arts, and a curator for multiple international film and animation festivals.
